The Wreck Diver Course introduces certified divers to the fascinating world of shipwreck exploration. Whether intentionally sunk as artificial reefs or lost at sea long ago, wrecks offer exciting opportunities for adventure, underwater photography, and marine life encounters.
 
During this specialty course, you will learn the skills and techniques needed to safely dive around wrecks while understanding the potential hazards and proper planning procedures involved in wreck diving.
 
Complete your Wreck Diver certification in Roatan and explore some of the Caribbean’s most unique underwater structures and artificial reefs.

The Wreck Diver Course is designed for certified divers who want to expand their diving knowledge and experience by learning how to safely explore wreck sites.
 
This course is ideal for divers interested in underwater history, navigation, photography, and adventure diving. Divers must already hold an Open Water certification or equivalent certification from a recognized agency. Advanced Open Water certification is recommended for deeper wreck dives.
The Wreck Diver Specialty Course combines academic sessions with open water training dives focused on wreck exploration techniques and safety procedures.

The course includes multiple wreck training dives with an SSI professional instructor. Roatan offers excellent wreck diving opportunities with artificial reefs and submerged structures that attract a wide variety of marine life.
The Wreck Diver course costs US$220 (+ tax) and includes the following:

Once certified as an Wreck Diver, you will have the knowledge and skills to safely participate in recreational wreck dives around the world within the limits of your certification level and experience.
 
Wreck diving allows divers to discover artificial reefs, historic shipwrecks, and unique underwater ecosystems that often become home to abundant marine life.
 
This certification also serves as excellent preparation for more advanced specialties such as Deep Diving, Navigation, or Extended Range training.
