►   Course Overview:

The adventure diver course is for people who want to take diving to the next level and start investigating different, unique aspects of diving that they can become specialized in.  It is essentially a half-way point between Open Water and Advanced Open Water certifications, allowing divers to take things step by step and still receive a certification.

►   Who should take this dive course?

Anyone who has completed the Open Water course and would like to explore a new specialty dive.  Depending on the choice of adventure dives this course has different age requirements, however the minimum age is 10 to enroll.

• 10 years old to participate in these Adventure Dives:
Altitude, AWARE - Fish Identification, Boat, Digital Underwater Photography, Dry Suit, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Navigation, Underwater Photography and Underwater Videography.

• 12 years old to participate in all other Adventure Dives, except the Sidemount Adventure Dive.

• 15 years old to participate in the Sidemount Adventure Dive.

►   What does this dive course involve?

This course can be completed in a minimum of 1 day and includes 3 adventure dives.  The 3 adventure dives can be selected from a growing list of adventure dives offered by Splash Inn Dive Resort like wreck diving, night diving, search and recovery diving, deep diving, navigation peak performance buoyancy, fish ID, and underwater naturalist.

Most of the course is practical application and skill application during open water dives but a small amount of theory takes place in our classroom, in which students will be expected to answer some question called knowledge reviews.  

►   What is included in the price?

The 200 USD for the course includes all materials, equipment, tax not included, as well as the online certification as an Adventure Diver upon completion of the course.

►   What can I do once I've completed the course?

Certified Adventure Divers will be more experienced in their selected fields, making diving easier and more fun by providing a larger expierence base to call upon.  Certification never expires and is recognized worldwide, although a refresh is recommended after an extensive period of inactivity.

Certified Adventure Divers can progress in the PADI courses by electing to complete 2 remaining adventure dives and taking the Advanced Open Water diver and/or Rescue Diver courses.
