What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in starts at 3:00 pm and check-out is before 11:00 am. You can complete your check-in online before you arrive, which leaves less to do at the desk.

What standard amenities are offered in the hotel rooms?

Every room comes with cable television, high-speed wireless internet, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a safe and hot water. The resort runs backup generators, so a power cut on the island doesn't become your problem. For an extra $10 a night you can upgrade to a Standard Plus room, which adds a mini fridge and a coffee maker.

How can I book a room, and what are my payment options?

You can reserve by phone, email, WhatsApp or Facebook, or through our online booking. A reservation is only guaranteed once we've received a 50% deposit of the total. We accept PayPal, bank transfer and all major credit cards, in US dollars, Canadian dollars, euros or lempiras.

I've never dived before. Can I still dive?

Yes, and most of our guests start exactly there. Discover Scuba Diving is a single guided dive built as an introduction to breathing underwater: three to four hours, $100, and you need no experience and no gear of your own. The instructors live on-site and the reef is minutes from the dock, so most people are underwater within an hour of deciding to go. Children from age 8 can try Bubblemaker in shallow water, one-on-one, for the same price.

What time do the dive boats leave?

Three single-tank boat dives a day, at 9:00 am, 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Snorkellers go out on the afternoon boat at 2 pm. With more than 150 sites within about ten minutes of the dock, you are never far from the next one.

What is included in the price of a dive?

Every fun dive includes your dive guide, tank, air fill and weights. Prices are in US dollars and do not include the 19% tax. On the seven-night all-inclusive package, full rental equipment is included for the whole week.

Do you collect guests from the airport?

Yes — we run our own airport transfer, so tell us your flight details when you book and someone will be waiting. Roundtrip transfers are included in the seven-night all-inclusive package.

Is the swimming pool at the resort?

The pool is at our sister hotel, a 7-minute walk from the inn, and every Splash Inn guest is welcome to use it.

Is Nitrox available?

Yes, on request. We also teach the PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) specialty, with or without dives included.

What languages do you teach and reply in?

English, Spanish and French — both for course instruction and for anything you send us. We answer messages within 24 hours.

When is the restaurant open?

Every day, 7:30 am to 9:30 pm, on the open-air terrace above the water. Breakfast is served before the first boat leaves, and the kitchen runs through to dinner and sunset cocktails.
